Dr. Fabbri investigates the tumor microenvironment of neuroblastoma. His goal is to discover new ways to fight tumors and cancer cells with less side effects and more effective results. By studying the role of small molecules called micro RNAs and how they contribute to the tumor microenvironment, he hopes to identify new biological targets that ultimately can be transformed into new treatments to overcome the problem of drug resistance.
