PBS/KBDI: COLORADO COMMITMENT

2014-02-11 0 72 Vimeo

This is a documentary series about global health and sustainability. Today we are living on a planet with 6.5 billion people. 1.2 billion are living without clean water. 2.4 billion do not have access to sanitation. 29,000 children die every day for reasons that are purely preventable. Global health clearly requires more than just traditional approaches to health care. Several prominent Colorado organizations have begun to work together, taking a multi-pronged, intersiciplinary approach to what some are calling the greatest challenge on earth today. This three-part documentary series follows teams in medicine, education, engineering, urban planning, politics, agriculture, technology, business and the environment as they collaborate on the common goal of creating sustainable and healthy communities in Peru, Rwanda, and Nepal. Colorado Commitment is a co-production of Lila Films andPBS/KBDI, Engineers Without Borders-USA, Centura Hospital System, the Center for Global Health and theUniversity of Colorado. This project is currently in development. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact: Kim Johnson (kjohnson@kbdi.org). Trailer edited by Deborah Fryer and Heather Dalton.
