This lecture is presented by Todd Cecil, DVM, DABVP of Pet Emergency & Specialty Center. Dr Cecil’s rabbit life began before veterinary school while he was a zookeeper at the San Francisco Zoo and its rabbit caretaker for 5 years. He graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis in 1994, and has treated avian and exotic species exclusively for 15 years. In 2005, Dr. Cecil completed his specialty credentials in Avian Medicine and joined the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center in La Mesa to spearhead the opening of its new Avian and Exotic Service. Dr. Cecil is an HRS partner, providing spay/neuter and medical services to rescued rabbits throughout San Diego County. He also is the personal vet of many HRS volunteers and supporters.
